Reproduction, in terracotta, of a Gallo-roman oil lamp adorned with a winged Victory walking to the left, holding a laurel wreath and a Palm lamp. It is dated of the II-IIIrd century of our era. This scene of Victory is very common. It can be found also on coins, including those of the IVe s.
Our lamps are delivered with a wick. So it is possible to light them on by adding oil, on the inside.
