Reproduction of a large statuette of god Jupiter sitting on his throne.
Jupiter is the ruler of the gods. He seized the heavenly throne dispossessing his father Saturn. The Greeks worshipped under the name of Zeus, and the Romans, retaining that name and doing so follow the word pater who wants to say father, made "Zeus pater", thus becoming Jupiter. Father of gods and men, founder of empires, he is the protector of the order and freedom. We represent it sitting on a throne of gold or ivory, holding lightning, sign the power hitting, and on the other hand a sceptre, emblem of force that governs. The Eagle, oak and Cedars of the mountains were devoted to him.
Bronze object with green patina of old bronze style. Made with the technique of lost wax, as in antiquity.
