This book, written by Théo Parlalidis, was first designed to guide the members of the association to which he is a member (La Maisnie du Montferrand) in the development of military equipment for members. Quickly, Theo went further and offers, far from a simple encyclopedia, a fairly representative picture of men at arms for the mid-15th century, in all the diversity of soldiers. At the twilight of medieval feudalism, the measures taken by King Charles VII reorganized the French army of the 15th century and laid the foundations for a standing army whose beginnings could be seen under Philippe Auguste.
